My name is Chynna DeSimone and I'm a working medical illustrator. I am an alumnus of the Rochester Institute of Technology's accredited Medical Illustration program, earning my MFA in 2022. In 2018 I earned my BFA in Illustration with a design emphasis from Daemen University in Amherst, NY, graduating summa cum laude. I am also a registered member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and am in the process of becoming a certified medical illustrator.

Throughout my time in school and beyond I have been consistently contracted for freelance work illustrating a diverse range of projects in a wide variety of media. My illustrations are featured in numerous publications including Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America and Hepatology. Also, my thesis is part of the Flaum Eye Institute in Rochester New York as an integral part of their patient consultation process. ​​​​​​​

I specialize in surgical illustration, vector work, and infographics. My goal is to combine my passion for anatomy with my affinity towards art to be a part of groundbreaking research or significant cases. Every new job I undertake is an opportunity to learn something new and be a part of something great. I am currently working as a contract and freelance illustrator and looking for full-time opportunities in Medical Illustration.
